T2I Courses, a training provider that runs courses for security staff in Edinburgh, has appointed one of its talented recent graduates as a new trainer.
Cyprus Phipps joins a team of expert security tutors, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained through a 13 year career working in door security.
He was given the opportunity to become a tutor with the training company after his attitude and dedication to the course caught the attention of his trainers when he attended the Door Supervisor Level 2 course at the end of last year. He made the decision to re-take the qualification in full to refresh his knowledge before renewing his SIA licence, which door staff are required to do every three years.
Following encouragement from David Evans, Centre Owner at T2I Courses, Cyprus went on to study Level 3 certificates in Education and Training, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention. He has now qualified to become a tutor himself, delivering the Door Supervisor Level 2 course to new recruits at the nationally recognised centres.
David Evans said: “When I met Cyprus, I was so impressed with how engaged and switched on he was. He’s got a lot of experience and maturity, which is essential for teaching students to manage conflict. T2I Courses prides itself in offering the best training to new security staff so that they can learn skills for a lifetime career. Cyprus is a fantastic addition to our talented team. “
Cyprus Phipps said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to David and the team at T2I Courses for supporting my personal development and growth. I’ve spent many years working in the security business, and, particularly over the past few years when people are worried about their personal security, I have seen how important it is to have well trained, confident staff. I’m very pleased I can now give some of my knowledge back to the industry as a tutor.”
T2I Courses can be booked exclusively through Get Licensed, the UK’s number one course finder for licence-linked courses. To find and book the latest door security courses visit http://www.get-licensed.co.uk
